FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ABOUT EYELASH EXTENSIONS
Everything you wanted to know about eyelash extensions and more!
What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent and designed to enhance the eyes with a more voluminous, beautiful, and youthful look. Single strand extensions are skillfully glued onto the natural lashes one-by-one, meticulously, one strand, one lash at a time. Each single micro-extension is carefully placed on top of each natural lash and secured with medical-grade adhesive. They are weightless, natural-looking, and glossy so they look like your own… but better.
Whether you’re looking for beautiful lash extensions for a special occasion or as a regular beauty routine for life, our styles lashes with perfection in order to maintain the health of the natural lashes.
What type of glue do you use?
The primary ingredient in the adhesive we use is the same used in sutureless wound closure by Plastic Surgeons in the USA.
What is the difference between fake eyelashes and eyelash extensions?
- STRIPS – “FALSE” or “STRIP” eyelash extensions are temporary lashes and usually last for 1-2 days. They are exactly what the name implies, a single strip of false eyelashes which extends across your entire eyelash. The adhesive holding the strips in place will begin to lose its grip by the end of the 2nd or 3rd day and the strips will partially or completely fall off.
- Individual Eyelash Extensions – Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions are a longer lasting and stronger alternative to “STRIPS” commonly called “INDIVIDUAL”. One by one, a “Faux” lash is glued to every eyelash of your own. Because your eyelash is continually growing and falling out naturally, individual extensions last 3 to 6 weeks.
- Refills – You’ll begin to notice gaps of long vs. short eyelashes, when this happens you can get “REFILLS” which is the process of applying extensions to your new natural eyelashes.
What type of lash do you use?
A lighter & more flexible lash than conventional synthetic lashes, we use Minky’s faux mink lashes.
